Morning

Morning is a 16 year old registered Conermara mare.

Morning arrived aged 12 having only been ridden in a headcollar and not used to regular work so she was very unfit.

Initially she was not happy with having a bit in her mouth so we rode her in a hackamore. She didn't like standing still whilst being mounted. She was very stiff on her left side.

Although she could jump she had no idea where or how to take off.

She had sweet itch very badly which was causing her distress.

Some of her behaviour appeared to related to hard feed during the winter.

We spent countles hours making sure she stood still while being mounted. We spend hours doing supplying exercises to improve her left side. We did lots of grid work sessions with her to improve her jumping technique

Morning wears a boett from March to November which solves her sweet itch problem.

She is now very fit, can be ridden in a snaffle and loves her jumping especially cross country.

Above all Morning is a very happy lady
